We started Noosa Camera Hire so visiting filmmakers and weekend photographers wouldn't have to fly with their kit — or settle for less. Every body is checked, every lens cleaned, every drone calibrated. Then we hand it over and stay out of your way.

The collection

Mornings start cool and pink. The middle of the day is harsh — perfect for the National Park and high-contrast portraits. By 4pm the headland turns gold, and by 7 the whole beach is a long, slow exposure. Plan around it, and let the gear be the easy part.

About the kit
A small, considered collection of pro gear.
Noosa Camera Hire exists for one reason — visiting filmmakers and local creators shouldn't have to fly with their kit or drive to Brisbane to hire anything decent. So we built a tight, hand-picked range of the bodies, lenses and drones we actually reach for ourselves.
Sony A7 IV and A7S III bodies. G Master and Zeiss glass. The DJI Mavic 3 Pro for aerials, RS4 Pro for movement, Mic 3 for clean sound. Nanlite lighting, NiSi and Hoya filters, Tiffen diffusion. No filler, no cheap knock-offs — every piece earns its spot.
Every kit is checked between hires, every battery topped up, every firmware updated, every sensor cleaned. We treat this gear like our livelihood depends on it. Because it does.
And if you're not sure what to pick for your shoot — wedding, surf trip, drone aerials of Hells Gates, a brand campaign in town — call or message. A decade of production experience comes with every rental, no charge.

The fine print
Common questions.
Everything we get asked before a first hire. Anything missing — call us, or drop a note in the form below.
Do you deliver, and how far?
Yes — free delivery within 20km of Noosa Heads (Sunrise Beach through to Coolum and Tewantin). Outside that, we can usually arrange something for a small fee. Pickup from Noosa Heads is also free and the easiest option for short hires.
What's the minimum hire?
One day. Most hires are 1 day, weekend (Fri–Mon counted as 2 days), or week. Longer hires get a discount — just ask.
Do I need a deposit or insurance?
We take a refundable security deposit on collection (varies by item — typically 10–20% of replacement value). You're responsible for any damage or loss during the hire. Many travel and home-contents policies cover hired gear; we recommend checking before pickup.
What ID do you need?
A valid driver's licence or passport, and a credit/debit card matching the booking name. For larger hires we may ask for a second form of ID.
How fast do you confirm bookings?
Within 2 hours during opening hours (8am–5pm daily), usually faster. After-hours bookings get confirmed first thing the next morning.
What if I return the gear late?
Let us know as soon as you can. A short delay is usually fine if the gear isn't booked back-to-back. Late returns without notice are charged at the daily rate.
Can I cancel or change my booking?
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before your hire starts. Inside 48 hours we keep a 50% deposit. Date changes are free if we have availability.
Is everything checked between hires?
Every body, lens and drone is cleaned, sensor-checked, batteries charged, and firmware up-to-date before it goes out. If something isn't right, we'll swap it or refund — no debate.
