Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Noosa Camera Hire website and any hire of equipment from Noosa Camera Hire ("we", "us", "our"). By using our site, requesting a quote, or hiring equipment you agree to these Terms. If you also sign a Rental Agreement, that agreement applies in addition to these Terms.

To hire equipment you must:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Provide a valid government-issued photo ID at pickup (Australian driver licence or passport).
• Provide a working mobile phone number and email address.
• Provide a credit or debit card in your own name for the security bond.

A booking is only confirmed once we have replied in writing (email or SMS) and any required deposit or pre-authorisation has been received. Quotes are valid for 7 days unless stated otherwise. Availability is not guaranteed until a booking is confirmed.

A "day" means a 24-hour period from pickup. Weekend rates may cover Friday afternoon to Monday morning — confirmed in writing at booking. Late returns are charged at the full daily rate per day (or part thereof) plus any costs we incur from missed onward bookings.

Pickup and return are by appointment in Noosa Heads. Equipment must be returned in the same condition and packaging it left in.

All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Full payment is due before or at pickup unless otherwise agreed in writing. We may take a refundable security bond or pre-authorisation against your card to cover loss, damage, late return or cleaning.

• More than 72 hours before pickup: full refund of any deposit.
• 24–72 hours before pickup: 50% of the hire fee is retained.
• Less than 24 hours, or no-show: 100% of the hire fee is retained.
• Date changes are subject to availability and may incur an admin fee.

You agree to:

• Use the equipment only for its intended purpose and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
• Not sub-let, on-hire, sell, modify or part with possession of the equipment.
• Keep the equipment in your personal control and not leave it unattended in a vehicle or public place.
• Not take the equipment outside Australia without our prior written consent.
• Not use the equipment in a way that breaches any law (including drone, aviation, privacy or trespass laws).

You are responsible for the equipment from the moment it leaves our premises until it is returned and inspected by us. You agree to pay the full repair or replacement cost (at current retail value) for any loss, theft or damage that occurs during the hire period, regardless of fault. In the case of theft, a police report and report number must be provided within 24 hours.

Reasonable wear and tear is expected and will not be charged.

Our hire fees do not include insurance. We strongly recommend you arrange your own equipment insurance (production, hirer's or contents cover that extends to hired gear) before pickup. We may ask to see a Certificate of Currency for high-value bookings.

To the extent permitted by Australian law, we are not liable for any indirect, consequential or economic loss arising from the hire or use of equipment, including loss of footage, missed shoots, lost income or third-party claims. Nothing in these Terms excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We collect your contact details and ID information solely to manage your hire, verify your identity and contact you about your booking. We do not sell your data. You can request access to or deletion of your information by emailing hello@noosacamerahire.com.au.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version that applies to your hire is the version published on this page at the time your booking is confirmed.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of Queensland.
